De glasvlakken worden afgewisseld door dichte gele, rode en blauwe panelen en zijn afwisselend mat en glanzend toegepast. De kleuren zijn een verwijzing naar het kleurgebruik van Theo van Doesburg die in de jaren ‘20 van de vorige eeuw in Leiden kunstbeweging de Stijl oprichtte. Voor alle kamers zijn warmtelastberekeningen gemaakt op basis waarvan de benodigde oppervlakte dichte panelen is bepaald. Door de posities van de dichte panelen te laten verspringen is een patroon tot stand gekomen waarin de verdiepingen niet duidelijk herkenbaar zijn.
