Quiver Tree Forest, Keetmanshoop, Namibia by http://ift.tt/2l1azDg
Quiver tree (Aloe dichotoma) is not really a tree, rather a plant of the genus aloe, as evident from its scientific name, and one of the few species of aloe that reaches tree proportions — it can grow 7 to 9 meters high. Quiver Tree Forest is not really a forest despite having some 250 samples growing in a rather small and confined area. The tree which is not a tree and the forest which is not a forest is a magical and true photographic playground.
