Shanghai by Giles McGarry (formerly kantryla)

Well it's been a very long time since I posted anything on Flickr, in fact probably over a year. 2017 was an odd year for me, a back operation curtailed most of my activities at the start of the year, and then a huge amount of travel towards the end of the year, meaning I have a huge backlog of images, some processed already nut most not. This is one of those iconic images you have to take, I've been to Shanghai before back in 2008 and things really have changed. This is the shot I wanted to get in 2008 - and to be honest I had no idea how to go about it, last year, the weather conditions early in the morning were ideal, with a good amount heavy dense cloud slowly pushing across Pudong, obliterating the two largest towers - so actually the scene is as I remember it from 2008.
