Umeda Sky Building escalator by jbarry5

The Umeda Sky Building is probably best known to tourists for its open-air observatory, which offers great views of the city of Osaka. I went for the views, but the escalators that take guests up and down to the observatory space were quite striking, too. Even more striking is that the escalators are detached from the building's main towers, and they thus seem to float some 550 feet above the ground. Very cool. http://flic.kr/p/QhasAQ
